Have The Time Of Your Life!

Oceania House is the ancestral home of the Clunies-Ross family and is now open for guests to experience the colonial life of a bygone era. Enjoy your own private getaway at a 6 bedroom historic mansion on an idyllic tropical island in the Indian Ocean. With the beach, atoll lagoon, and coral reef in front of the property you cannot be closer to the natural attractions. This is the only ‘absolute beach front’ accommodation available on the Cocos Keeling Islands. Unlike West Island there is no need for car hire and boats can come right up to the picture perfect beach at the front of the house. Feel like a VIP at Oceania House.

Located on Home Island which is one of the 27 islands that comprise the Cocos Keeling Islands, it is a short 30 minute catamaran ride from the Cocos Keeling Island Airport located on West Island. The essence of the Cocos Keeling Islands is Home Island, where the majority of the population live. You will discover of all the 27 islands, why the founding pioneer John Clunies-Ross chose Home Island as his base. Stunningly beautiful beaches and bays, all within walking distance await. Nowhere else on the islands will you be able to stay so close to the beaches, coral reefs and tourist attractions. You will quickly realise your hotel is perhaps the main attraction.

On Home Island you will discover culture, cuisine and history. Enjoy the company of the friendly locals, while sampling the unique culinary offerings. Visit the museum to see historic artefacts and learn the story of the islands. Go on a cultural tour and learn about the role of coconuts in the economic history of the islands. Watch coconut processing, sample coconut products, drink different types of coconut water and even try basket weaving using coconut palm leaves.

Go fishing, swimming, snorkelling, sailing, star gazing, island hopping or simply relax by the turquoise lagoon reading your favourite book. Perhaps sipping the freshest organic coconut water on earth.

Your house manager will ensure your itinerary is appropriate and your experience exceptional.
